This summer Autobahn Consumer Group will challenge a group of 24 college  journalism interns to research and create compelling consumer or business interest content for the web.

The program will  launch in June and run until mid August.  Once accepted interns may choose their topics based upon keyword rich URL’s  owned and operated by Autobahn.  The goal of the program is to give the interns the opportunity to research, compose and publish informative commentary and content within a blog/micro-site format.

Success will be measured based upon the quality of the posted content, the amount of traffic visiting the site and other metrics such as Google Page Rank accomplishments.  The sites will be hosting using WordPress running the SEO optimized Thesis theme.

Clearly some of the topics are well defined, others are completely open for interpretation, some are health or socially conscious, and some topics are quite technical.  Moving forward, the developed sites may lead to the launch of online business or  may simply become public information sites.  Eventually all the sites will be monetized.

During the course of the eight weeks there will be a number of training sessions designed to educate the participants on Search Engine Marketing, Social Media Development and other skills neccessary for successful site creation and marketing.

All participants will become “featured contributors” for Autobahn Consumer Group with published bios and content clearly acknowledged.  Successful completion of the program will result in a profession letter of recommendation.

Once fully organized there will also be a contest prize for first, second and third place contributors.  Contributors will be judged on the quality of  their content, number of site visitors and other internet ranking successes.  Total prise money will be $1,600 with $1,000 for first place, $500 for second and $100 for third.
